Upon successful completion of your studies at the Joint Programme campus in HCMC, you will be eligible to transfer your studies to Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.
You will receive full support during your transfer to Wellington. You can meet with a Student Advisor when you arrive at VUW to discuss the major subjects available to you, including double majors, and to organise your study plan. You may transfer to VUW in either VUW Trimester 1 (March – June) or Trimester 2 (July – October).
TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
To transfer to Wellington you will need a student visa. To obtain a student visa, you must meet all of the following criteria:
+ Academic: you must successfully complete at least seven BCom courses offered at the HCMC Campus within three consecutive trimesters.
+ English: you must have met Victoria’s English language requirement. This can be attained by:
- a Certificate of Proficiency in English (at least three ratings of 4 and one of 3); or
- an IELTS of 6.0, no sub-score less than 5.5; or
- a TOEFLiBT 80 or equivalent.
+ Financial: you must have paid your upcoming annual tuition fees in full and must prove to Immigration New Zealand that you have the appropriate funding to support yourself during your studies in Wellington.
+ Medical: you will be required by Immigration New Zealand to pass a chest X-ray check before you are able to transfer.
TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS
Students transferring to Victoria University with an A- average in at least two full semesters of BCom courses will receive a 1/3 tuition fees scholarship for the first two semesters of study in Wellington.
