New Zealand scholarship opportunity for young ASEAN leaders

Outstanding young scholars and future leaders in Vietnam are invited to apply for the ASEAN Undergraduate Tuition Fees Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.

The ASEAN Undergraduate Tuition Fees scholarships provide an opportunity for young ASEAN students with an excellent academic record and leadership potential to pursue undergraduate study at a top New Zealand university.

One of last year’s scholarship recipients is Trang Pham from Vietnam, who is now at the end of her first year of a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance. One of the reasons she applied was the reputation of the Accounting and Finance majors at the Victoria Business School, with both subjects currently ranked in the top 100 universities in the world, in the most recent QS rankings.

Being awarded the scholarship made Trang’s choice easy and she hasn’t looked back since.

Trang has made the most of her first year at Victoria by getting involved in a range of activities including the Victoria Leadership Programme and the Victoria Plus Programme.

Trang enjoys living in Wellington City, where it is compact and easy to get from place to place. Being picked up by the Victoria meeting service on her arrival to Wellington was a bonus, and made it a lot easier to start her time in Wellington. Trang says, “The best thing about living in Wellington is the peacefulness and safety here. I find myself lucky to study and live in such a safe city”.
